Shower floor crack
We own a home built by Doug Tarry Homes that was built in 2013. The floor in our Mirolin shower cracked this year, the floor also appeared to be spongy as if it had not been installed properly. Very little interest was shown in helping us. We sent an email to them with photos, 2 months later still nothing. The only thing that was provided was a phone number for the Mirolin warranty which had already expired. We were also informed that as with our exterior parging which is crumbling, the crack in the shower floor is not structural so it too is not covered under the 7 year Tarion warranty, despite the fact that a leak such as this could potentially lead to a structural issue. We had thought that DTH Ltd was a quality builder that would stand by their products and step up to the plate to repair this for us, a home of this quality should not have a tub floor crack in such a short time, I guess we were wrong.
